Direct ordering on current supply via the renewed updated Explorer

It was already possible for buyers to use the Floriday Explorer to make a detailed search for articles that growers have in their catalog. Recently, the Explorer was expanded to include current supply and this can be ordered immediately. The ability to order directly from the Explorer is currently being tested among a small group of buyers ('early-access').

With the Explorer you can - from the screens in Floriday - buy current supply in Floriday. Thanks to handy filters, you can quickly find growers' daily or term offers. You can also send requests for quotes and make offers directly from the Explorer. You can also use the Explorer to transfer selected trade items directly to your web shop and manage the assortment.

Test phase

An initial group of buyers has already been given access to help test the Explorer in order to make it as compatible as possible with day-to-day purchasing practices. A purchasing challenge has also been organised with buyers from XL Flor and Florahuis to extensively review and validate the function.

Raemon Prins, junior buyer at Florahuis: "We supply garden centres in the Netherlands, Germany and Austria. We buy most of it on Monday and it is delivered on Tuesday. Our customers now buy through the webshop, which is linked to Floriday through MatchOnline. In our purchasing screens we see these orders and can forward them to Floriday. We filter out some orders if they are too small, for example. We expect to use the Explorer mainly to expand our assortment by finding alternative growers or products and ordering them directly.”
