In Floriday it is now already possible to calculate transport costs, distributed over all the orders within a delivery. From 1 July, this will also be possible for orders via FloraXchange, FloraMondo, VMP and via the API. In this way, a buyer will soon be able to order at different times, but does not need to pay separate transport costs for every order. Because they will be subdivided over all the orders that are placed within one delivery.
In this way, transport costs are additional costs which are calculated on the basis of the number of orders placed within a delivery. The transport costs are distributed over the number of items in a delivery and increase the final unit price. Growers can also choose to allow the transport costs to lapse with a particular amount or volume. This way of calculating transport costs works well for orders which become smaller and smaller.
How does this work for growers
In order to calculate transport costs in this way, you can work with prices excluding delivery and transport. The transport and delivery costs are then set in the delivery terms and conditions.

What does this mean for buyers?
Buyers can see the transport costs in the delivery terms and conditions of a grower. As a buyer, do you prefer not to work with transport costs that are calculated afterwards? With the trading settings, you can indicate that you do not wish to work with this. The result of this setting is that you can no longer order according to the offer whereby the transport costs are not included.
When composing the delivery terms and conditions, growers receive a message when the buyer cannot work with this. They can choose to set the price for this buyer including delivery and transport and in this way work with a fixed price.
