Starting 1 October, it will be possible to update weekly pricing in-week when using catalogue prices. This article tells you all about this news.
How does it work?
You can enter catalogue prices as usual by 10 am on Thursday for the following week. A new feature is that you can now update prices during the week. A 24-hour time lock comes into effect each time it is updated, during which no further updates are possible.
Updating weekly pricing allows growers to respond better to market conditions. There is also less administrative work and customer follow-up involved, for example, with creating special offers and promotions. Ultimately, this gives buyers more market-based pricing and a more reliable supply.
Meetings and trials
We recently held discussions with growers and buyers who wanted to update prices during the week. Starting from 1 June, a group of growers and buyers were able to update these prices. The trials were successful, as reflected in the interview with Hamiplant's Rene Vellekoop. Which is why, starting 1 October, every grower will be able to update prices during the week.
Price updates using your own software package
Software suppliers are also aware of these changes. Technical developments are also shared with software suppliers. Do you also work with weekly price lists? Then start talking to your own software supplier to find out what changes are needed to the software.
