United Flower Group: "Floriday speeds up the buying process"

Since the end of 2020, United Flower Group (UFG) from Saudi Arabia has been working with Floriday to expand their grower network, search for new varieties and buy flowers directly through Floriday. On a weekly basis they place orders with different growers in Kenya. Sulaíman Aloqaibi, owner of United Flower Group, tells us about their international trade lane with Kenya and the way Floriday is helping to grow their network and make their buying process more efficient.

Sulaíman: “We mostly import flowers and some plants from all over the world and we bring them to our larger cities, Jeddah and Riyadh. From there we start to distribute them around small cities in Saudi Arabia. We started in 2014 with three employees and one truck. Now we already have 50+ employees and  three trucks in Riyadh and four trucks in Jeddah.” 

“We divided our market into three divisions”, Sulaíman explains, "we sell to retailers (the smaller flower shops), wholesales and event planners in Saudi Arabia. One of our main activities is importing a broad variety of summer flowers from Africa, primarily Kenya. We buy mostly Roses, Gypsophila, Delphiniums, Hydrangeas and other available summer flowers.
