In Floriday, growers can set a minimum delivery quantity. Does the buyer order less? Then a message is displayed saying the order is too small. Until now, this was only the case with Direct Purchasing. In Explorer and through the API link, orders below the minimum quantity could still come in to a grower. That will soon change.
The grower can set the minimum delivery quantity in Floriday's delivery terms. Here, you can choose a piece, package, layer or load carrier. This allows you to prevent orders coming in that are too small, which you cannot or do not want to deliver. Soon, this will also be enforced from the Explorer and via the API. Is the quantity ordered for a particular delivery slot smaller than the minimum delivery quantity? Then the order is rejected.
Phased introduction of minimum delivery quantity
We will soon start implementing these developments. We are starting a test at a number of growers where the minimum delivery quantity will be enforced in the Explorer and through the API. Buyers purchasing from this grower will start to experience this in the coming period as order requests smaller than set in the minimum delivery conditions will no longer be passed through. This group will continue to grow, with which we will introduce the minimum delivery quantity in phases.
Greater delivery security
For order requests below the minimum delivery quantity, the buyer will receive a notification one hour before the order entry deadline if the minimum quantity has not yet been met. This allows the buyer to order extra to be sure of delivery. Are these delivery conditions not met? Then the order will not be approved. Earlier, many corrections were made in this case and this is no longer necessary. Ultimately, this offers a buyer (and indirectly the grower) more security of delivery on the order placed.
The right delivery conditions for the right buyer
As a grower, make sure the minimum delivery quantity is set properly. You can set this up per delivery location set. Want to apply a different quantity for a specific buyer? Then you can use customer specific delivery conditions.
Order requests that do not meet the minimum delivery quantity are rejected by default. As a grower, do you still want to pursue these order requests? Then you can do so up to an hour after the deadline.
Entering orders via the VMP link
When working with the VMP link, it is not immediately clear from the link that the order is cancelled on the basis of the minimum delivery quantity. The buyer does receive a notification of this by email and in Floriday you can find all the information. In the API connection, however, it is possible to see this
Changes to the API link
Post-acceptance of order requests will also soon be available in the API link so that software vendors can build this in. Check with your software vendor about the status of this.
